Frequently asked questions
What does the QR scan check?
Four things, right at the scan: that the pass is still active (neither revoked nor expired), that it is within its validity dates, that it has uses left and — if it is a recurring pass — that today is one of its allowed days and the current time falls inside its window. The entry is recorded against the unit that issued the pass. If something doesn't line up, the gate sees the reason on screen and no entry is recorded.
Can I give recurring access to household staff?
Yes. A recurring pass is created by picking the weekdays it applies to and, if you want, an hour window and an end date. Outside those days or hours the scan is turned away on its own, with nothing for you to remember.
How do outside technicians get in?
They're logged at the gate like any other visit: with their ID and photo if your protocol calls for it, and with entry and exit in the log. If a resident is expecting them, they generate the pass ahead of time and the gate knows who to expect.
Can I revoke a pass I already sent?
Yes, and it takes effect immediately: from that moment the QR no longer opens the gate and the next scan turns it away. The pass is marked as revoked in the audit log, with who revoked it and when, and we let the resident know. Either the person who created it or staff with gate permissions can revoke it.
Your gate always knows who's inside.
And so do you — from the dashboard, with the full audit log.
